What we do

At South Bay Sustainable Comunities Network, we host an array of family friendly events for residents to attend and learn about how to be more sustainable.

Clean Ups

In effort to keep our watershed clean, we host clean ups at parks, refuges, the bay and throughout neighborhoods. Students can attend clean ups for community service hours! These clean ups are held monthly all around the South Bay, check our newsletter for the next one!

Hikes

Here at SBSCN, we encourage both an active lifestyle and the enjoyment of the natural beauty that surrounds us. Which is why we host nature guided hikes where families can stay healthy as well as learn about native fauna!

Workshops on Vance St.

Join us at Tina's backyard as we host an array of family friendly, free activities! Whether you attend worm 101 where you build your own worm compost bins, Kokedama where you create your own succulent arrangements, or DIY Hubcaps where you up-cycle into garden art creations, you will love speniding time outdoors spending time with loved ones!

Sustainable Garden Tours and Facility Tours

Who knew there were so many sustainability tours in your own city! Learn about regenerative agriculture through our guided tours of local gardens such as Ruth's hydroponic run on vermicompost, or learn about sustainability within our municipalities via waste hauler facility tour!

We email monthly newsletters regarding the events we have occurring that month, make sure to email us expressing your interest in receiving the monthly newsletter!
