In July 2023, South Bay Sustainable Communities (SBSC) received funding from the SD Foundation to launch an educational farm program. In alignment with our programs, focused on community composting, food rescue, and Youth 4 Sustainable Future (Y4SF) workforce development, South Bay Community Farm has become an active platform of how to exemplify our organization’s mission, providing hands-on, regenerative farming education that combats climate change and supports our regions’ food security.

We are pleased to announce the expansion of the South Bay Community Farm, now hosting school field trips! Offering hands-on learning from gradeschool - 12th, students get to experience an educational outdoor classroom environment that connects science, sustainability, and the great outdoors!
